See if you can spot why this video makes the grade here at GBBB. Secrets and the unexpected are good, and so is this song.

Deaths in a Mad World
BoingBoing put together this awesome retrospective montage of video game deaths that will test your classic game recognition skills. But lurking in the background is a Chiptune cover of Tears for Fears "Mad World", an 8-bit melody that as haunting as it is apropo.
You can grab the mp3 from their site here, as well as an alt-version in a lower key.
Or just play the song:

Who knew the Empire Was So Sensitive?
Believe you me, when they're not out hunting droids, Stormtroopers are belting out some sweet slow jams. Scattered Trees sings a StarWars-a-fied version of their song "Love and Leave"

KINECT the Silence
Echo Lake - Young Silence from Dan Nixon on Vimeo.
So I got a KINECT last weekend, you know, the Xbox 360 jobber-do that lets Microsoft spy on you while you dance in your underwear playing Dance Central. I'm not going to lie, the KINECT is ten kinds of Awesome. But apparently you can do more with it than realize your fantasy of being a back up dancer for the Young MC, you can actually shoot a music video with it as well as Echo Lake did for their song "Young Silence." Reported to be the first video shot using a KINECT, creator Daniel Nixon says:
“As far as I know (and I’m scared of checking) this is the first music video to be made with the Microsoft Kinect camera. The footage was shot on that piece of £130 equipment and recorded to custom software running on a laptop. The depth data was then manipulated to get the whole band in one ’space’ and then the fun started.
Or alternatively: hi-tech D.I.Y.”

Arts and Crafts Rap, What up Mang?
I don't know how cool it is, but come on... you can't pass up someone dropping rhymes about painting and pasting.
"I'm just saying, if you want to get into the pool... it's up to you." LOL
